Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy

Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) is a new program that will provide much needed relief to businesses affected by COVID-19 in the form of rent and mortgage support until June 2021. This program will replace the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance (CECRA) for small businesses. One key difference is that in the case of CERS businesses will apply directly as opposed to landlords applying on behalf of businesses as was the case with CECRA.
